Vaccine against cancer of the cervix expensive!

A second vaccine against cancer of the cervix starts today to be marketed in Portugal. The total cost, with the three doses needed to be effective, it is 433.23 euros. To prevent cancer of the cervix, caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV), Portugal has since the beginning of the marketing year in another brand of vaccine, the responsibility of Sanofi Pasteur and that cost 481.35 euros in total the three doses needed. Each dose of vaccine now beginning to be sold, marketed by Glaxo Smith Kline, will cost 144.41 euros, and that in total the three doses means least 48 euros than vaccine
